Maintenance

We like to offer our customers tips and guidance on looking after their play equipment so it look as good as the day they were installed!

Thermoplastic Markings

Our thermoplastic markings are very low maintenance. If the markings become dirty please use warm soapy water and a yard brush to keep them looking vibrant.

Because of the nature of the product, during very hot dry days in the summer the thermoplastic does tend to soften slightly but they are still safe to be used during this period.

We recommend that vehicles are not parked over the thermoplastic markings as tyre marks can be left on the surface. For the first few weeks after installation the markings can be slippery when wet, we advise that a sprinkle of grit (as used in icy weather) will roughen up the surface.

Wet Pour

Keep the surface clean by removing any fallen leaves, branches or debris as this can affect the drainage of the wet pour by causing blockages on the surface and also may cause surface weeds to grow.
Do not use any metal shovels or rakes to remove any surface debris as this may damage the surface of the wet pour, we only recommend that brushes are the best option for this task and for this to be done on a weekly basis.

If you have any stains to the surface, most of these stains can easily be removed by using a simple and effective mix of warm water with washing-up liquid.

Timber (any timber products)

All our timber is high quality treated play grade timber. Please be aware that this is a natural product and therefore can have natural movements and splits as the timber settles and ages.

Although our timber is treated and comes with a 10year guarantee against rot and infestation, if you wish, you can apply a clear wood preservative once or twice a year to prolong the life of the timber, it can be applied by spray or brush application.

HDPE

HDPE is maintenance free, if you do want to wipe them clean we only recommend a mix of warm water with washing-up liquid.

Climbing Holds

We recommend that all climbing holds are regularly checked, especially before use as they do sometimes need tightening up.

If you have any further questions on maintenance please contact our sales team on 01477 533 555 and they will be happy to assist you.
