Stone Surfacing

Our Resin Bound Surface is a practical & attractive solution for your Driveways, Pathways and many more uses.

The system involves choosing an dried aggregate of your choice and mixing with a resin until the aggregate is completely encapsulated with the resin.  The mix is then troweled on to a suitable sub-base to the required depth, leveled and compacted to create a decorative surface that is extremely hardwearing.

Suitable Bases for this type of surface are Tarmac or concrete.  The surface can be laid directly on top of either of these surfaces.

The depths recommended for different uses are as follows:

Light Pedestrian Traffic

Pathways, patio areas, Swimming pool surrounds  -  16MM Depth

Light Vehicular Traffic

Straight Driveways, Pathways with Heavy foot traffic – 18MM Depth

Heavy Vehicular Traffic

Turning Driveways, Car parks – 20MM Depth

Other uses

Tree Pits – 40MM Depth

These depths are based on an aggregate size of 2-5MM.  If a smaller of larger aggregate is required the depth of the surface may increase or decrease depending on the application.

Advantages

SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) – Our Resin Bound System is fully permeable, preventing standing water & providing rapid drainage.

UV Resistant – The Resin used to bind the aggregates is UV Stable which means no “yellowing” will occur.

Hardwearing – Once set the surface has set, it retains some flexibility enabling it to resist cracking.
